2022 Aegean and Troas Field Trip

The trip started on the evening of May 8, 2022, with our bus departing from the Rectorate Tram Stop - Pharmacies. After an overnight bus journey, we arrived at the Hierapolis Ancient City on the morning of May 9, 2022. After visiting the structures in the ancient city, we visited the city's museum. The second stop of the first day was the Aphrodisias Museum and archaeological site, after which we went to the hotel. On May 10, 2022, we first visited the Miletus Ancient City, followed by a visit to the Miletus Museum. After the museum visit, we went to the Didyma Temple. After visiting the temple, we returned to the hotel. On May 11, 2022, our first stop was the Magnesia Ancient City. Afterwards, we visited the Aydın Museum, and then the third day's program was completed with a visit to the Nysa Ancient City, after which we returned to the hotel. On May 12, 2022, we first visited the Ephesus Ancient City, followed by a visit to the Selçuk Museum.

After visiting the House of the Virgin Mary, the third stop of the day, Şirince was visited and we returned to the hotel. On May 13, 2022, our first stop was the Bergama Museum, followed by the Asklepion Archaeological Site. After visiting the ancient city of Pergamon, we set off towards Çanakkale, thus ending the fifth day. On the last day of the trip, May 14, 2022, we first visited the ancient city of Parion, followed by a visit to the Troy Museum. The last stop of the day was the Apollon Smintheus Sanctuary, after which the journey back to Samsun began. Our trip was completed with our arrival in Samsun on the morning of May 15, 2022. The places and structures visited during the trip were examined by the students, and necessary information was provided and discussed by our teacher Alper Yılmaz, first to the students.
